La Fondazione Stensen insieme a Black History Month Florence presentano Dahomey di Mati Diop presso Cinema Astra. Dahomey è il film documentario del 2024 diretto da Mati Diop, regista e sceneggiatrice francese di origini senegalesi, che ha vinto l’Orso d’oro al Festival di Berlino come miglior film nel 2024. La pellicola racconta della restituzione al Benin di ventisei oggetti trafugati del Regno di Dahomey durante la guerra di colonizzazione e conservati al Musée du quai Branly di Parigi. La proiezione sarà accompagnata da una breve discussione con Kaaj Tshikalandand, antropologa culturale.

Fondazione Stensen together with Black History Month Florence present Dahomey by Mati Diop at The Astra Cinema. Dahomey is the 2024 documentary film directed by Mati Diop who won the Golden Bear in the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in 2024. The film tells the story of the restitution to Benin of 26 objects stolen from the Kingdom of Dahomey during the war of colonization and held in the Museum of Quai Branly in Paris. The film will be accompanied by a brief talk by cultural anthropologist Kaaj Tshikalandand.
