All’interno della seconda edizione del festival MATCH, dedicato alle arti visive e performative, il Museo Novecento ospita la sociologa Mackda Ghebremariam Tesfaù per un incontro che verterà sui temi trattati nel volume “UNDROWNED. LEZIONI DI FEMMINISMO NERO DAI MAMMIFERI MARINI” di Alexis Pauline Gumbs. Nato nel 2020 in occasione della mostra dedicata dal Museo Novecento ad Allan Kaprow - padre degli Happening e di una nuova idea di partecipazione tra opera, spazio e audience – MATCH rende omaggio quest’anno a un’altra grande artista del XX secolo, Louise Bourgeois, esposta nel 2024 al Museo Novecento. Quest’anno il festival MATCH è pensato come un viaggio attraverso figure potenti e ambigue che incantano, si trasformano, mutano e si uniscono tra loro. Sono streghe, sirene e sorelle.

As part of the second edition of the MATCH festival, dedicated to the visual and performing arts, the Museo Novecento is hosting sociologist Mackda Ghebremariam Tesfaù for a meeting that will focus on the themes addressed in the book "UNDROWNED. LESSONS OF BLACK FEMINISM FROM MARINE MAMMALS" by Alexis Pauline Gumbs. Launched in 2020 on the occasion of the exhibition dedicated by the Museo Novecento to Allan Kaprow - father of the Happening and of a new idea of participation between work, space and audience - MATCH pays tribute this year to another great 20th-century artist, Louise Bourgeois, who will be exhibited in 2024 at the Museo Novecento. This year's MATCH festival is conceived as a journey through powerful and ambiguous figures that enchant, transform, mutate and unite. They are witches, sirens and sisters.
